Meet Gregg L. Lurcott, DDS
Dr. Gregg Lurcott graduated cum laude from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor in 1994. In 1998, he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Michigan, consistently ranked as one of the top dental schools in the nation. While in dental school, Dr. Lurcott received the Horace Wells Award in Anesthesia. Horace Wells is credited as the father of surgical anesthesia.
Dr. Lurcott is a Board Certified Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon and a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons.
Following dental school, Dr. Lurcott completed a one-year internship at the Medical College of Ohio. He then went on to perform a four-year residency in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery through St. John Health Care System and Children’s Hospital of Michigan. Thereafter, Dr. Lurcott entered private practice in the metropolitan Detroit area. During his years in practice, Dr. Lurcott was a member of Head and Neck Tumor Boards, treated children in two Cleft Lip and Palate Clinics and lectured regularly on dental implants. Dr. Lurcott also acted as an attending instructor through the St. John residency program, teaching the principles and art of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery to residents in training.
After six years of private practice in Michigan and having acquired extensive experience in the fields of sedation, general anesthesia, dentoalveolar and dental implant surgery, tumor management, jaw surgery, reconstructive facial surgery and trauma surgery, Dr. Lurcott decided to move to Colorado with his wife and three children to begin his own private practice in Denver.
Here in Denver, Dr. Lurcott continues to treat patients with congenital and traumatic craniofacial deformities at several local hospitals. As a member of the Facial Trauma Team at Swedish Hospital and the Medical Center of Aurora, Dr. Lurcott corrects the most complex craniofacial injuries and fractures.
To keep at the forefront of his specialty, Dr. Lurcott regularly attends national dental implant and facial reconstructive continuing education courses in order to provide the latest advances and innovations in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery to his patients. Dr. Lurcott also maintains Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications.
In his free time, Dr. Lurcott enjoys spending time with his family, reading, golfing, scuba diving, and playing tennis.
